Design and Build
The Realme GT 7 boasts new graphene material on the back with a matte finish, giving it a smooth and pleasant feel when gripping the device. According to Realme, the new material helps dissipate heat evenly across the back panel for improved cooling and better sustained performance.

But despite these claims, we didn’t find a significant difference in overall cooling performance as the phone still got a little warm while gaming, similar to most other devices in the segment. However, there is one major downside here is that the plastic frame detracts from the premium feel.

The Realme GT 7 also boasts an IP69 rating for resistance to dust and water. It also has ArmorShell Glass to protect the screen. The GT 7 is offered in IceSense Black and IceSense Blue colour options. While the Realme GT 7 boasts a minimalist and comfortable design, it is held back by its poor build.
Display
For the display, Realme has opted for 6. -inch 1.5K flat OLED display. The screen boasts a 120Hz refresh rate, making it remarkably smooth for navigation and gaming. The display is also easily visible under various lighting scenarios, offering an impressive peak brightness of 6,000 nits.

Moreover, the screen supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+ with good viewing angles, making it excellent for content consumption. The panel also supports ‘Rain Water Smart Touch’ that allows you to use it error-free even when it is wet.
Performance
The Realme GT 7 doesn’t make any concessions in the performance department courtesy of the MediaTek Dimensity 9400e chipset. The chip is paired with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. While we couldn’t run an in-depth gaming test, we doubt the GT 7 will have any problems running even the most demanding of titles.
However, we did run a few benchmarks, which yielded impressive results. The Realme GT 7 managed an overall AnTuTu score of around 1.9 million points. In Geekbench 6, the Realme GT 7 hit a single-core score of 1877 points and a multi-core score of 6766 points. In the Geekbench 6 OpenCL test, the Immortalis-G925 MC12 GPU scored 12,533 points. While we haven’t fully tested out the performance capabilities of the Realme GT 7, are initial tests yielded promising results.
Cameras
For optics, the Realme GT 7 features a triple-camera setup with a 50MP Sony IMX906 primary sensor that supports OIS and an f/1.88 aperture. Additionally, the main sensor is paired with an 8MP OV08D10 ultrawide lens and a 50MP Samsung S5KJN5 telephoto sensor with 2x zoom and an f/2.0 aperture. Up front, there’s a 32MP Sony IMX615 selfie camera with an f/2.45 aperture.

The camera system of the Realme GT 7 delivers generally good results. Color saturation is slightly on the higher side, making photos vibrant and eye-catching. Details are well-preserved and sharp across all shots. The telephoto lens captures distant subjects effectively, while the portrait mode offers accurate edge detection and a pleasing bokeh effect. The selfie camera performs well under most conditions, though the overall camera performance could be improved to truly stand out in its price segment.
The Realme GT 7 also boasts impressive video recording capabilities. The main camera can record 8K video at 30fps or 4K video at 60fps with Dolby Vision. It also supports 4K video recording at 120fps and Cinematic Video. Additionally, the ultrawide and telephoto shooters are limited to 1080p video capture at 60fps, while the front camera can also record 4K video at up to 60fps. The phone also features a 4K Underwater Mode that lets you capture videos under water.
The 32MP selfie camera on the Realme GT 7 offers good results across most conditions. Our initial impression of overall camera performance on the Realme GT 7 is bang-on average, leaving lot of room for improvement.
Battery Life
Powering the GT 7 is a massive 7,000 mAh silicon carbon battery that can easily deliver a full day of usage and some. The Realme GT 7’s 7,000 mAh cell is an absolute dream for power users. And when you finally manage to fully drain that massive cell, the GT 7 offers super-fast 120W wired fast charging to take the phone from 0 to 100% in less than 50 minutes.
Software
Realme UI 6.0, based on Android 15, offers a streamlined and efficient user experience with minimal bloatware. The interface is clean, fast, and functional, with smooth animations and seamless transitions. Integrated AI features like Reflection Eraser, Ultra Clarity, Landscape+, and Glare Removal enhance photography.
The AI Planner is particularly useful, scanning screenshots and text messages for event details and suggesting calendar entries. This practical tool accurately recognizes titles, venues, and times, making it easy to create calendar events with a single tap, ensuring a cohesive and intuitive experience for users.
Realme GT 7 Dream Edition
The Realme GT 7 Dream Edition adds a touch of luxury with an Aston Martin logo on the back, imparting a distinct and premium feel to the device. Despite its aesthetic enhancements, the Dream Edition features the same specifications as the standard Realme GT 7, ensuring no compromise in performance.
The only differences lie in minor user interface modifications, which are likely tailored to reflect the Aston Martin branding. This special edition retains the robust features of the Realme GT 7, including its powerful chipset, versatile camera system, and impressive video recording capabilities, while offering a visually appealing design to captivate users seeking both excellence and elegance.
Realme GT 7 First Impressions
The Realme GT 7 is a performance powerhouse packed with standout features, including the Dimensity 9400e chipset, a vibrant 1.5K OLED display, and a massive 7,000 mAh battery with blazing-fast 120W charging. It also impresses with Dolby Vision video recording, AI-driven software features, and a unique Dream Edition design for luxury seekers.
However, its plastic frame and average thermal and camera performance hold it back from being a truly premium offering. Despite these compromises, the Realme GT 7 delivers solid value for power users and gamers looking for a future-ready smartphone under a competitive price tag, especially with Realme’s refined UI and Android 15 onboard.
